ABOUT OAKHAVEN

Why is it called OakHaven?

Oak trees are strong. They provide shade and shelter as they grow and endure.

Havens are places of refuge, refreshment and re-provisioning for the journey.

Together, OakHaven depicts:

  • a place of refreshment and renewal through retreats

  • a safe space to receive care and counsel in the hard times

  • a ministry of equipping and encouragement to help you endure

Our prayer is that your soul will be refreshed to endure in the calling God has given you as a leader in Christian ministry. OakHaven’s ultimate aim is to point you to Christ, who alone is our strength and our refuge (Psalm 46:1).

OUR MISSION

OakHaven’s mission is to strengthen ministry leaders for endurance through:

  • retreats for spiritual refreshment and renewal,

  • Christ-centered soul care in the suffering and struggles of life, and

  • equipping and resources to cultivate sustainable long-term ministry, both at church and at home.

OUR VISION

We envision Christ being exalted around the globe by flourishing churches and fruitful ministries, which are growing strong as their leaders are refreshed, cared for, and equipped to serve faithfully, for the glory of His name.

Who are the “Ministry Leaders” OakHaven works with?

This includes church elders, pastors, deacons, administrators, counselors, and their spouses. It encompasses those serving as lay or volunteer leaders, as well as those serving vocationally.

This can also include those who work in Christian nonprofit organizations or mission agencies.
