He Said/She Said: How Do You Grow?
Join us in this inaugural conversation as we talk about the importance of growth in our own spiritual lives as leaders.
It goes without saying that the Christian life is one of growth. Even if you are a ministry leader encouraging other people to grow. Read their Bibles. Pray. Disciple others.
Without investing in our own growth, our ministry can become stale instead of fresh. But in doing so, we model pridefulness, as if we are so busy caring for others that we don’t have time to humble ourselves to learn from God.
In this conversation, Dan and I share our responses to the following questions:
What are some significant milestones or influences in your spiritual journey with God?
· What are some of your daily habits or rhythms of growth today?
· As we start 2025, what areas of ministry and life would you like to grow?
As we share our responses, we’d like to encourage you to think about your own growth in Christ, but also in life. Our maturity doesn’t happen in a vacuum, nor is it just relegated to the mind. So in this conversation, you’ll hear a little bit about how God is using ordinary life as a means of growth and change.
When you’re finished, we encourage you to identify one or two ways you’d like to grow—perhaps deepen a spiritual practice or stretch yourself in new areas of understanding. Tell someone so they can keep you accountable or check in with you.
Father, may we ever be growing in the grace of Christ, that we might reflect You more truly and serve You more faithfully. Thank You for your commitment to transform us into the likeness of Your Son, our Savior, Jesus Christ. Amen.
